Alexander McQueen Fall/Winter 2014–Joined by Alexander McQueen head of menswear design Harley Hughes, creative director Sarah Burton delivered a severe somber outing for the British fashion house’s fall/winter 2014 collection. Boasting images of Lucien Freud and Oliver Bernard, mixed in with tartan kilts, leather jackets, and separates finished with gold zippers, the collection rested on conservative silhouettes with a sharp edge. A menacing figure, whether in graphic black or white or a dark head to toe look, the man of Alexander McQueen came to impress with tailored lines and a deeply rooted spirit of rebellion.
