Richard James Fall/Winter 2014–Paying a nod to the British Teddy Boy, designer Richard James highlighted the more polished side of the beloved fashion hero. Strutting down the runway, models with slicked back hair alternated between the sophistication of a tailored suit and the subtle casualness of structured separates. When not embracing polished design finishes such as a windowpane check, James spent his efforts on fitted jackets, creating standout moments that included a military-inspired jacket and a bright blue leather biker’s jacket.
