Roberto Cavalli Fall/Winter 2014–As the models hit the catwalk for Roberto Cavalli’s fall/winter 2014 show, photographer Ruvan was on hand to capture the moment, creating a sense of performance art. Cavalli had freedom, love and adventure on the mind as he approached his latest collection. Revisiting the label’s artisan roots, nature and man were explored with a certain romanticism. This idea was expanded with a film Categories of Being by Los Angeles director Nicolas Randall. In the film, man challenges the natural boundaries of his world by vandalizing it. For the collection, Cavalli pushes the boundaries of traditional fabrics with elements such as a herringbone zebra print or studs placed inside leather for a new texture. Applying splashy prints and finishes to a sleek on-trend wardrobe, the man of Roberto Cavalli was overall a cool vision in pieces that included elegant coats, tapered trousers and leather boots.
